RF Lens Mount
What makes the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Camera System so special is its use of a redeveloped lens mount. The EOS R is the first of many receiving this feature among Canon’s line with RF mount lenses. The specs of this mount is its diameter is 54 mm wide and comes with a short flange-back distance of only 20 mm.
The application of this mount offers lenses that not only smaller but also faster compared with its SLR counterparts. Not to mention, the mount offers more precise autofocus as the result of a combination of 12-pin electronic contact system and image stabilization. The design of the mount brings similarity to the previous EF and EF-S mount lenses as it is replaced by EF-EOS R mount adapter.

Full-frame Image Sensor
Armed with an updated full-frame CMOS sensor in 30.3 MP, the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Camera System shows great balance to produce high-resolution pictures even in low-light conditions.
This new sensor also supports high-speed performance of the camera. The sensor is combined with DIGIC 8 image processor allowing it to provide natural sensitivity of ISO 100 to 40000. Thankfully, the ISO can be expanded from 50 to 102400 to support photo shoots in different lighting.
This camera is able to shoot moving objects as it comes with fast continuous shooting up to 8 fps.
UHD 4K Video recording
Canon EOS R is equipped with new features that support multimedia image-maker. Using this camera allows you to record in 30 fps at 480 Mb/s that produces UHD 4K video with 3840 x 2160 resolution. For slow-motion shooting, it creates Full HD 1080p taken at 60 fps as well as HD 720p at 120 fps.
Recording video using Canon EOS R Mirrorless Camera System also enables you to get 4K output with 4:2:2 sampling and 8-bit color depth. Meanwhile, if you use an external recorder to take a video you can enjoy 10-bit color depth with the same sampling.

All camera activities are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and it’s charged in-camera using PD-E1 USB Power Adapter. When fully charged, you can take around 430 shots.
