Growing up a gamer gives appreciation towards some major classics. While only growing up on some of these games, I’ve definitely heard of all of them. Here are the top 10 games every gamer should know.
Of course this is partially subjective, but read through it and I hope you enjoy. If you’re a gamer than this list will definitely work with you. But if you’re a ‘Real’ Gamer, these are all games every gamer should know.

1) Minecraft:
‘Gamer’s have seen Minecraft rise to the top often over the last decade. Immediately popular on it’s release, it has since only grown in fame. A gamer loves a variety of modes in a game, and Minecraft is the sandbox epitome of variety. You can play Minecraft on any platform with your friends and family. You can even play with a tablet, or smartphone-whichever is accessible. Because of its unique freedom in game, the game is among the bestselling game of all the time.

2) Pokémon:
It’s one of the famous titles and series of all time. The Pokémon series provides different games, cards and shows for its users, and everyone knows the game. The franchise is impressive, which provides many remarkable gaming titles, now classics in the gaming world.

3) Monkey Island:
It’s been 27 years, since the Monkey Island series started. The title Tales of Monkey was published in 2011. The game is more popular because of the humorous dialogues between the characters. Millions of people love and cherish playing this game.

4) Super Mario:
Super Mario has been around before I was born. And probably the same for many gamers. It was published back in 1985 and the most recent in 2019 (Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020) The feeling almost everyone experienced playing this game is I’m sure unforgettable. I remember I played Mario game most of the times when I was younger, and still, I love to play it again and again.

5) Final Fantasy VII:
It’s one of the games which is popular because it boosted the sales for the PlayStation Consoles. That being said, it’s die hard fanbase and increasing support in development make it a series everyone can keep up with. With a remake to Final Fantasy VII, expect better graphics, performance and overall approval of the series! It made the Japanese role-playing games famous outside the country, a huge development in the industry.

6) Portal:
If you prefer games with mind-bending puzzles along with a portal shooting laser gun, then I would recommend Portal. The game is fantastic because it has humorous and dark moments, mixed with a deep interaction with the player and the game in it’s story and play. Many of the gamers are the true lovers of Portal.

7) Grand Theft Auto V:
GTA V, or Grand Theft auto V, is a multiplayer, and solo campaign, free roam sandbox filled with all sorts of violence and crime. What makes this game so great is its player and fanbase attempting dangerous risks, and crimes (in game heists and quests). They can use many vehicles which include cars, airplanes, boats and more which only make this super realistic badass game even more badass. It’s one of the best-selling games in history when it released.

8) Mortal Kombat X:
Mortal Kombat has been around for a while, it’s series being popular as is. But like many games, it’s popularity soared when they released a super cinematic, fast and beautiful flagship game. In this case, that is Mortal Kombat X.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a 2019 remake of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. While you may or may not have played Call of Duty, you’ve definitely heard of their flagship series Modern Warfare.

Starcraft II or Starcraft 2, is one of the best strategy games out there. While you may not have played it, you’ve definitely heard enough of it from your friends who just won’t shut up.
