QUÉBEC CITY, July 20, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 2,354 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,130,636*;
- 14 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,814 deaths;
- 7,211 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 2,057 hospitalizations, including 679 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 97 compared to the previous day;
- 273 new entries,
- 176 new discharges;
- 57 people in intensive care, including 30 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 2 compared to the previous day;
- 10 new entries,
- 8 new discharges;
- 16,868 samples conducted on July 18;
- 257,867 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 214,976 positive: 750 declared for yesterday, including 663 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 12,529 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,222,119 doses received by Quebecers.
