AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 19, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Today, Unmudl celebrates three years since the inception of the Unmudl Skills-to-Jobs™ Marketplace with its five community college founders at the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Annual Fall Virtual Conference. Showcased are Unmudl’s signature offerings, Unmudl Originals, that are courses developed collaboratively by employers and community colleges, such as the Amazon Unmudl Original designed to support careers in Reliability Maintenance Engineering that are critical to Amazon’s success.

“The Amazon Unmudl Original is an innovative approach to close skill gaps for critical open positions and to more efficiently develop a high-quality talent pipeline to support the success of Amazon and other employers that have similar talent development needs,” said Amanda Willard, Amazon’s Strategic Workforce Development, Worldwide Talent Development Team at Amazon.

When enrolling in select Unmudl Original courses offered by community colleges, working learners can also redeem credit for prior learning and work experience to qualify for better job opportunities. Unmudl community college founders include NISOD, Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque, Gateway Community College in Maricopa, Arizona, San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico, and Tombolo Institute at Bellevue College in Washington State.

“The NISOD conference brings together 1,500 community college faculty, administrators, and staff from 45 institutions to share best and promising practices that increase student success at community and technical colleges,” said Edward Leach, NISOD Executive Director. “We are thrilled to convene community college educators who want to learn about and share the most effective solutions for working learners to obtain skills they need for good jobs through low-cost and efficient upskilling opportunities offered by Unmudl’s Skills-to-Jobs™ Marketplace and America’s Community College Network.

“We are excited to celebrate Unmudl’s efforts at the NISOD conference to elevate America’s Community College Network as a premier solution for connecting learners to high-wage and high-demand jobs that support economic growth,” said Tracy Hartzler, CNM President and Chair of the Unmudl Steering Council.

NISOD, along with the founding community college leadership teams through the Unmudl President’s Steering Council and the Unmudl Champion’s Group, provide guidance on the evolving role of community colleges at the front lines of meeting learner and worker upskilling. Unmudl provides a platform for colleges to leverage and share their assets and courses to create a network effect and strengthen community college offerings.

“We’ve been talking about the sharing economy for two decades,” said Parminder Jassal, CEO and Founder of Unmudl, which provides technology to make it easier for community colleges to share their assets and courses. “We’ve been sharing through Airbnb. We’re sharing cars. We’re sharing everything. We are thrilled that community colleges are taking advantage of this technology to better serve employers and learners.”
