Directed by Marwan Mokbel, the film delves into the harrowing journey of an Egyptian gay couple confronting societal prejudices and supernatural forces.
“The Judgment” follows Mo (Junes Zahdi) and Hisham (Freddy Zahdi), who return to Egypt from the U.S. due to a family emergency. In a society rife with homophobia, they conceal their relationship, presenting themselves as mere friends. Their ordeal intensifies when they become targets of witchcraft intended as punishment for their “homosexual sins,” plunging Mo into religious terror and unearthing deep-seated fears from his past.
