Union-Busting Corporate Attorney Poses Serious Threat to Workers
WASHINGTON, March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The International Brotherhood of Teamsters opposes the recent nomination of union-busting attorney Crystal Carey to serve as the next general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Carey is a partner at Morgan Lewis, one of the most notorious union-busting law firms in America. Representing mega-corporations like Amazon and Apple, she spearheaded efforts to gut workers’ rights across the country, including by urging the Supreme Court to declare the NLRB unconstitutional.
At Morgan Lewis, Carey has advocated for captive audience meetings and defended corporations that exploit “independent contractors.” She has advised companies on how to bust unions and supported firms that try to avoid responsibility for their workers by abusing joint-employer schemes.
