Maylett joins leading customer education LMS as it accelerates momentum with industry-first innovations
SEATTLE, July 27, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Skilljar, the leading learning management system for external training, today proudly announces a major growth milestone and product innovations alongside several key leadership hires.
Frank Maylett has joined Skilljar as President, Go-to-Market. Maylett brings more than 20 years of experience leading integrated sales, marketing, CX, and operations teams at high growth companies. Most recently, he was CRO at Instructure (makers of Canvas LMS for education) where he was instrumental in growing the company from $200 to $500M ARR in just three years. Maylett was part of the executive team that took Instructure private and then executed an IPO in July 2021. He also led the charge for scaled growth at inContact and Workfront—both of which were able to either IPO or be acquired at a market premium.
“As someone with deep experience across the customer journey and learning tech, Frank brings a unique perspective, business leadership, and operational insights to the future of customer education. His experience fully aligns with our mission to help companies transform their customers into product experts and evangelists,” said Sandi Lin, CEO and Co-Founder, Skilljar.
Skilljar is also announcing two additional executive hires: Ali Biggs, VP, Marketing (formerly Intercom, NextRoll) and Paul Liebman, VP, Customer Experience (formerly Seesaw Learning, WalkMe, Eventbrite). These roles will contribute directly to driving growth via new sales and increased customer retention.
“With an incredible product, a raving fan base of customers, and a founder/CEO who combines the drive of an entrepreneur with a deep knowledge of the customer education market, Skilljar is poised for a higher-level mission to use its technology to democratize learning and reduce income inequality,” Maylett said.
As a result of strong customer sentiment coupled with a robust product roadmap, Skilljar has consistently ranked as a category leader by TrustRadius and G2. Recently added customers include Visier, Henry Schein, and Relativity alongside renewals from enterprise leaders including LinkedIn, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and Verizon. In March Skilljar released a suite of industry-first features and tools that empower customer education leaders to quantify the business impact of their investment and gain insights about their programs relative to select industry benchmarks. Advanced content syndication capabilities will soon move to beta, and ongoing improvements to Skilljar’s leading Salesforce AppExchange application will ensure that companies can continue to scale and drive high-value customer experiences with the platform.
“We recently surpassed a long-standing internal milestone of 10M global learners,” Lin said. “Our executive leadership additions, coupled with recent product enhancements and a laser focus on innovation, ensures Skilljar will continue to define customer education well into the future.”
