Engineered by AI-powered algorithm, this ground-breaking update of iReal 3D software greatly enhances the users’ experience and speeds up 3D digitization process. The functions including optimized data quality, real-time color map, mixed alignment modes and multi-scene switch enable smart and simple 3D measurement. Here comes eight highlights we’d like to share with you.

New Features for iReal 3D V3.0

Compatible resolution

iReal 3D V3.0 unveils new ways to scan with a great compatibility in low and high  resolutions for multiple levels of detail. The new feature allows users to position 3D scanners close to areas with rich textures and geometry to capture every detail (resolution of up to 0.200 mm).

It also empowers users to scan areas with few details in a long range for a larger field of view to considerately reduce alignment errors and scanning time (scanning distance of up to 1,000 mm). In this way, we perfectly balance efficiency with quality.

Smart color map

This new feature allows users to monitor the scanning process in real time to ensure accurate scanning results. When scanning an object, green color map indicates a high quality data capturing, and red shows opposite results. The smart color map function eliminates the problems that we hardly evaluate the real-time scanning performance before.

Multi-scene switch

iReal 3D V3.0 supports multi-scene switch among project interface, point cloud, mesh files, and color mapping. It offers the freedom to switch back to project interface to continue scanning and set new resolution, or to interface of point clouds to re-finalize or optimize mesh files. It is a great way for users to try out different parameters without starting from scratch and beginners to experience a smooth 3D scanning quickly.

High adaptability to different colors

iReal 3D V3.0 is optimized to scan both white and black surfaces at the same time thanks to its unique algorithm. With its high adaptability to different colors, the software will automatically make the overall exposure as correct as possible. It is perfect for users to embrace a simple and smooth 3D scanning.

High sensitivity to hair

Scanning of hair won’t be a tricky task for upgraded iReal 3D V3.0. With one-click enhanced mode, we can capture more amount of point clouds of thin and dark hair. This mode increases the sensitivity of a 3D scanner to help it scan various hairstyles even complicated haircuts.

Invisible light 3D experience

Infrared VCSEL structured light brings you the safest and most comfortable 3D scanning experience, eliminating the issues of dazzling lights. It is safe for human body scanning and does no harm to human eyes. It suits perfectly for medical rehabilitation and 3D digitalization of human body.

AI-powered algorithm

AI-powered algorithm of iReal 3D V3.0 hugely intensifies the quality of the point clouds and details of mesh files. It helps experts and beginners manage project complexities with persuasive 3D demonstrations. This advanced algorithm enables our versatile 3D scanner iReal to be capable of meeting any need.

Intelligent alignment

When scanning an object object without enough geometric features and textures, intelligent mixed alignment mode can easily solve the problem out only through a few markers, greatly contributing to high-accuracy and repeatability of scan results.

The software widens the use of iReal to be adopted in reverse engineering of various products such as castings and sanitary products, virtual simulation, 3D visualization, even vehicle modification and customization, delivering a cost-effective 3D solution for users.

“Our R&D team has done an outstanding job last 6 months upgrading iReal 3D V3.0. It is crafted with great care and passion. We are excited to lunch this new version to make our customers feel more confident in their work.” says Harris He, manager of Innovative Application Division of Scantech.

What users say

Eric McCann, owner and director of Transpose 3D Scanning commented, “The new iReal 3.0 software update is really useful. Being able to save out the entire project file for later continued scanning, or processing is a must. The real-time point cloud is cleaner and better for visualizing. ”

Mitchell Wyatt, an orthopedic surgeon, expressed his admiration, “Upgraded iReal 3D is awesome. The freedom to switch back and forth among scanning project, point cloud and mesh file is a big jump. I could continue scanning my project for a different resolution even if I have converted point clouds into a mesh file. Inappropriate resolution won’t be a disaster anymore. “

With cutting-edge technical strength and professional teams Scantech will continue exploring innovations in 3D digitization. We are inspired by the belief that everything in the world can be digitized and dedicated to providing cost-effective, simple-to-use, and top-notch 3D solutions.

More Texas K-12 School Districts Turn to Award Winning Biodefense Air Filter to Protect Air Streams Against COVID-19 Variants and Future Airborne Threats

TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY DATA FROM SLIDELL AND GALVESTON ISDs SHOW IVP HELPS STOP INFECTION RATES AND KEEP SCHOOLS OPEN

Conroe ISD, San Angelo ISD, Ricardo ISD, San Diego ISD, and Episcopal High School (Houston, TX) join Forth Worth ISD, Hogg ISD, Comal ISD, Banquette ISD, Houston ISD, Galveston ISD and Slidell ISD to install IVP’s “Catch and Kill” ™ Technology

HOUSTON, Sept. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ – September 28, 2021Houston-based Integrated Viral Protection (IVP), announced more examples of installations across the US and in COVID-19 hot spots across schools in Texas. Some of the worst hit school districts, like Conroe ISD, now have Board approval to install the IVP units as an additional layer of protection to help teachers, students and staff breathe with confidence.

“IVP’s proprietary technology is the only proven airborne solution shown in multiple research studies to effectively ‘catch and kill’ actual SARS-CoV-2 and other sub-micron airborne viruses and spores instantaneously in a single pass, without significantly impacting the ambient air temperature,” says Dr. Garrett Peel, IVP’s executive principal, “IVP’s technology is far above air purifiers and HVAC filters currently on the market that do not have the science, nor results to compete with IVP’s research showing sub-second destruction of sub-micron organism, including COVID-19 variants and larger organisms such as strep, influenza and RSV.” (See IVP’s innovative technology for classrooms here, and our recent event at the Texas State Capitol here.)

“This game-changing biotech offers an additional safeguard to the vaccine as an enhancement of indoor safety and wellness, with an upgrade to current HVAC filters that lack the science to kill airborne viruses,” commented, Dr. Kenneth Thorpe, Robert W. Woodruff Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Policy & Management, in the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.  “The vaccine does not prevent transmission of the disease from those that have immune protection to those that are unvaccinated, and there are still over 40 million Americans still without a vaccine.  IVP is the technology that offers a security by helping disinfect the air immediately and reducing transmission overall.  We need to have this technology as a key public health policy nation-wide.”

“The time is now,” says Monzer Hourani, Chairman and founder of IVP.  “We must be on the offense, no longer on the defense when it comes to COVID-19 and future threats.  We need to look to proven solutions other than the vaccine, that are based on science to help protect us.  We need bold leadership from our elected officials.  I applaud the school boards of Conroe ISD, San Angelo ISD, Ricardo ISD, San Diego ISD, and Episcopal High School for their recent decision and long-term investment in air quality and safety.”

“As the first school district installed with IVP technology in August 2020, our campuses have had no closures, nor contact tracings of any COVID-19 cases.  We face fewer education gaps, than other Texas ISDs who have faced challenges in staying open.  We are happy to report Slidell ISD is at the bottom of the list for reported COVID-19 infections, making our classrooms some of the safest in Texas, which we attribute significantly to IVP, said Superintendent Taylor Williams.  “We are proud to partner with IVP in keeping our air streams free of COVID-19 and other infections.  We have actually seen lower rates in seasonal flu, allergies and missed school days as well, since IVP was installed to protect our classrooms.”

Galveston ISD was also one of the first ISDs that chose to deploy over 100 units across their campuses in late 2020, and now the Texas Education Agency (TEA) reports the District with no student cases in 2021, putting them, like Slidell ISD, at the bottom of the list of schools with COVID-19 reported cases.

“We had no reports of COVID-19 at our campuses since IVP was installed for the past ten months, and no spread that was detected at the campus level.  IVP is something the schools can use to help reduce risk of airborne infections, not just COVID-19.  Other purifiers do not offer the same level of science nor real-world results as IVP,” said Kelli Moulton, former Galveston ISD superintendent, and now Executive Superintendent for the Texas Association of School Administrators.

IVP has been installed since 2020 to private pre K-12 schools across the US, including True North Charter Schools in Miami, Florida.  Recently the IVP devices were purchased by Episcopal High School, ranked #1 Best Christian High School in Houston, by NICHE: “We are in our third school year that COVID-19 has affected.  We feel it is our duty to our students and the community to stand out in the fight against the virus.  That is why Episcopal High School decided to install the IVP machines.  The health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff are of the utmost importance,” commented Ned Smith, head of School at Episcopal High School.

From day cares to higher education campuses across the US have purchased IVP to include St. Paul CDC in San Antonio, Texas, West Point Military Academy, Texas State University, Texas A&M University, University of Houston and University Texas Medical Branch: “Our center was closed several times for high infection rates among, in particular teachers.  Since the IVP filters were installed, there have been no contact tracing of any kind to any classroom, nor closures related to COVID-19.  School should move heaven and earth to get this technology placed in their classrooms immediately so that we can truly help safeguard our learning environments,” Deborah Stephenson, Executive Director, St. Paul Lutheran CDC, San Antonio, Texas.

About IVP

Over 100 US healthcare facilities have IVP technology on their campuses including: University Hospital System (Bexar County, Texas), Methodist Hospital (Texas Medical Center), Steward Healthcare, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Medical Properties Trust, Omega (nursing homes), MD Anderson Cancer Center, Graystone Communities (the largest senior living community operator in the US), Post Acute Medical campuses across the US, including their COVID-19 areas, and NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals nationwide.  IVP is partnered with the Texas Hospital Association to help deliver scientifically proven technologies to enhance the safety of indoor air quality for patients, families and healthcare team members.

IVP has been installed into the George R. Brown Convention Center (Houston, TX), University of Houston’s Moores School of Music and Opera House and to the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts (Houston, TX).  The hospitality industry has embraced the technology with deployments to Canyon Ranch Spa (the world’s largest) at the Palazzo and Venetian Casino Resorts in Las Vegas, NV, the InterContinental Houston Hotel Medical Center, as well as Hilton Hotel Corporate Headquarters in McLean, VA, and other Hilton Hotel flagships including the Hilton Tysons Corner Hotel and select Rosewood Hotels to name a few.

IVP has helped reopen entertainment venues, businesses and restaurants across the US, including the Hunton Group HQ, the American Airlines Integrated Operations Center, municipality offices to include Baytown, Texas and its courthouse and city offices, and to the Wayne County prison system, serving the most populous county in the state of Michigan.  The State of Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Department of Emergency Management has also purchased the IVP biotechnology for high-risk service and healthcare areas across the state.

IVP mobile units and HVAC filters were awarded by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as a top technology for the fight against COVID-19.  Engineering News-Record named IVP’s technology Newsmaker of the Year for 2020, and its inventor, Monzer Hourani, as its Award of Excellence recipient for 2021 (Engineer of the Year).  The technology is also approved for emergency use by the US Federal Drug Administration during COVID-19 and meets ASHRAE and ISO standards for air quality and filtration.  IVP’s Biodefense Indoor Air Protection System™ is the only proven technology shown to “Catch and Kill”™ actual SARS-CoV-2 (99.999%) and anthrax spores (99.98%), instantaneously, with a single-pass.   Independent research was led by the Texas Center for SuperConductivity at the University of Houston, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, UTMB’s Galveston National Laboratory and peer reviewed with publication by scientists at Argonne National Laboratory and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), www.ivpair.com.

As per the Population Reference Bureau data updated in June 2019, the number of people aged 65 years and above was 52 million in 2018 and is projected to double by 2060 to reach 95 million. The World Health Organization (WHO) statistics state that there are around 50 million dementia patients in the world with 10 million new cases getting added every year. This number is expected to reach 82 million by 2030.

The elderly population is expected to outnumber the children population in the span, which is a demographic shift and poses to be a public health challenge. Moreover, the maintenance and establishment of hospitals and other healthcare settings need high capital investment. Some of the healthcare solutions providers are following a merger and acquisition strategy to enter the market and provide cost-effective services and leverage the expertise of the merged or acquired firm. Also, shifting trends toward in-home healthcare services for patients to avoid hospital stays is another key factor driving the market growth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of the nursing facilities were significantly impacted, while the in-home services aided the majority of healthcare providers to offer their services in a safe environment.

The demand for home care services is expected to increase in the immediate future, owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These services are safer and cost-effective alternatives to hospital services. External substitutes, including hospitals, informal care, and other healthcare establishments, pose a limited threat, mostly due to their high costs. Thus, the threat of substitutes in the market is expected to be moderate during the forecast period.

GUUD Announces New Enhancements to RYTETFAP, Bringing Greater Efficiency and Value to Corporates

0

  • RYTETFAP was formerly launched as CamelONE Trade Finance in November 2019
  • New enhancements will make the portal more comprehensive, improve workflow and efficiencies

SINGAPORE, Sept. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Singapore’s GUUD (Finance) Pte. Ltd. (“GUUD Finance”) today announced new enhancements to RYTETFAP, previously known as CamelONE Trade Finance, Southeast Asia’s first multi-bank trade finance application portal made available for users on Singapore’s Networked Trade Platform (“NTP”) in November 2019.

The recently rebranded portal, RYTETFAP, is now part of a larger trade financing platform, RYTE, that was launched on 8 July 2021 by GUUD Finance, as part of the Group’s efforts to create a comprehensive, intelligent trade financing platform covering a full suite of financing products and services that would meet the needs of smaller businesses as well as large multinational corporations.

RYTE provides business users with varied options for financing revolving around their trade flow; from supply chain financing to documentary trade, all within a single platform. Whether corporates are looking to apply for import GST financing, letter of credit issuance or shipment financing, they can access the RYTE platform to link up with an appropriate service provider that will assist them with their requirements.

While RYTE includes RYTEGST and other loan modules that will allow corporates to apply for financing with non-bank financial institutions, RYTETFAP focuses on bringing on board reputable trade finance bank partners that corporates regularly engage with, so corporates can track all their transactions with different banking partners on a single platform, while securely retrieving details of their shipments via NTP’s secure data repository for easy trade finance applications.

By December 2021, RYTETFAP will be introducing new features and functions which will enhance its product offerings in Letter of Credit (“LC”) issuance including LC advising, LC advising amendments, LC confirmation, and Export collection and purchase under LC. A new module will also be made available where RYTETFAP will be integrated with Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) TradeTrust utility for the electronic presentation of digital documents such as Bills of Lading.

Despite the portal being relatively new to the market, RYTETFAP has seen good progress and success in onboarding both banks and customers. The portal has 11 leading trade finance bank partners and clocked more than SGD 625 million in throughput as of end August 2021, a number much larger than established multi-bank trade finance portals in the region.

The latest bank onboard RYTETFAP, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (“SMBC”) in Singapore, has seen their workflows being enhanced and their large clients such as Mitsui & Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd., have been pleased at how efficient their processes have become after adopting RYTETFAP as their main solution for submitting trade finance applications.

Mr. Koji Nagatomi, Chief Operating Officer of the Asia Pacific Business Unit and CEO of Mitsui & Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd. shared, “Antiquated trade processes pose consistent global challenges for traders. RYTETFAP has since provided a much faster and easier trade finance solution for us, eliminating the cumbersome and expensive paper-based processes.”

“As one of the leading banks in Japan and across this region, SMBC has accelerated our plans and we are taking bigger and quicker steps in our digital transformation journey to better enable our customers during these challenging times. We are honoured to support Mitsui’s transition to digital for greater banking efficiency. Our approach to technology and innovation has always been about bridging our stakeholders to the future, and we are very pleased to collaborate with GUUD Finance as a participating bank of RYTETFAP to spur innovation in trade finance,” said Mr Yoshiaki Kageyama, Managing Executive Officer and Co-Head of Asia Pacific at SMBC.

Constant updates to RYTETFAP have been ongoing to enable it to deliver a more comprehensive trade financing experience that covers a greater breadth and depth of trade financing products, with the aim to smoothen the entire trade financing application process for corporates of different sizes across various industries.

Using the latest technological tools and leveraging the secure data from trade applications managed within the GUUD ecosystem, RYTETFAP aims to provide simplified, streamlined, and seamless end-to-end trade financing application processes and real-time updates for users, making it a must-have tool for corporates who engage in trade financing activities on a regular basis.

Commenting on RYTETFAP, Desmond Loh, CEO, GUUD Finance said: “RYTETFAP is a product that many corporates and banks can benefit from using. For banks, cost of IT deployment is substantially lower, as RYTETFAP provides an easy-to-use interface and up-to-date features all for a simple transaction fee. For corporate users, they can apply for trade finance from any banks they have an existing relationship with, and enjoy fast, secure financing on their trade transactions.”

GUUD is one of the fastest-growing trade technology companies in Singapore, with offices strategically located in China, Indonesia and Kenya, and projects spanning more than 17 countries. The company has achieved many firsts including the launch of Seafood Xchange, Singapore’s first B2B seafood e-marketplace for seafood traders. CamelONE™ Trade Finance (now known as RYTETFAP), launched in November 2019 is the first unified multi-bank trade finance portal in Southeast Asia and their Smart eCO solution is the world’s first blockchain-enabled eCertificate of Origin.

GUUD Finance is the financing arm of GUUD Pte Ltd, a portfolio company of DeClout Pte Ltd, a leading technology business builder headquartered in Singapore.

Politicians Can't Stop Climate Change – Free Online Events with Dr. Guus Berkhout and Marc Morano

0

CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Friends of Science Society have issued an open letter to Canadians, suggesting that Canada take good news to the upcoming UN COP26 meeting in Glasgow – that the climate emergency is over, and we do have time for a thoughtful energy transition instead of NetZero2050.

Despite the colorful press release of August 9, 2021, by UN Sec-Gen Antonio Guterres claiming a ‘Code Red’ for humanity, the actual science report is much more calm and balanced, as discussed by Dr. Steve Koonin in this CLINTEL/ICSF video. Koonin was a top science adviser in the Obama administration and has recently written the book “Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn’t, and Why We Get It Wrong.”

Friends of Science letter refers to a review of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Physical Sciences report by Roger Pielke, Jr. He notes that in the IPCC recent report, unlike past ones, a future scenario known as RCP8.5 is no longer seen as our ‘likely’ future. This means the climate emergency is over. If applied to reality and used as a ‘business-as-usual’ case, the RCP8.5 is a wildly exaggerated simulation that was the source of concern, prompting claims of a climate emergency. RCP8.5 is one of four scenarios formally known as Representative Concentration Pathways which were developed for climate research and never intended as policy ‘pathways’.

This extreme scenario also was the driver behind NetZero2050 commitments by various nations, which were planning to completely change with energy systems by 2030 or 2050. As early as 2010, engineering Prof. Michael J. Kelly of Cambridge University in the UK warned that proposals for rapid decarbonization would “lead to mass deaths“.

Pielke, Jr. and Justin Ritchie’s peer-reviewed work “Distorting the view of our climate future: The misuse and abuse of climate pathways and scenarios” shows that thousands of climate science papers are based on this outdated science and the exaggerated RCP8.5 scenario.

These revelations support the theme of Friends of Science 18th Annual Event, “Politicians Can’t Stop Climate Change” which will feature two guest speakers in free online presentations on separate dates.

Dr. Guus Berkhout, president of CLINTEL will present “Climate Science: Let the Data Speak” on October 2, 2021, at 10 am MDT, with live Q&A to follow. Dr. Berkhout is the president of CLINTEL, the international organization of more than 900 scientists and scholars who confirm that there is no climate emergency and we do have time to address energy issues.

Marc Morano, American author, and long-time climate realist will present “Green New Deal: The Great Regret” on Oct. 6, 2021, at 7pm MDT, with live Q&A to follow. Marc is the author of a number of books on climate change, the most recent being “Green Fraud: Why the Green New Deal is Even Worse Than You Think”.

SAP & HKCSS Support Social Enterprises to Develop Digital Skills in "SAP Good Goods Business Challenge 2021"

0

HONG KONG, Sept. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Furthering its commitment to supporting social enterprises, SAP today launched the “SAP Good Goods Business Challenge 2021” in Hong Kong in partnership with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) and its Social Enterprise Business Centre. The Challenge aims to empower social enterprises to thrive in the digital economy and amplify their impacts.

As self-financing businesses, social enterprises fulfil an important societal role pursuing social missions, such as creating jobs and education opportunities for the underserved and protecting the environment. The “SAP Good Goods Business Challenge 2021” is open to social enterprises serving Hong Kong communities and provides professional e-tailing training and consultation. It will enhance social entrepreneurial skills and refine business models to enable social enterprises to self-reliantly fund their operations in a changing world. The Challenge also facilitates participating enterprises to raise their public profile and earn cash incentives.

Hong Kong has a growing social entrepreneurship ecosystem and there are 659 social enterprises listed in the Social Enterprise Directory published by the Social Enterprise Business Centre,” said Chua Hoi Wai, Chief Executive of HKCSS. “The COVID-19 pandemic and global economic downturn have put extra pressure on the sector. Due to evolving consumer behavior, social entrepreneurs require necessary commercial and digital skills to generate sufficient revenue to sustain their operations. HKCSS is delighted to partner with SAP to help bridge this gap.”

“Every enterprise today needs to explore new and innovative ways to respond to the new normal,” said Fabian Padilla Crisol, Managing Director, SAP Hong Kong. “The ‘SAP Good Goods Business Challenge 2021 is a platform for social enterprises to enhance entrepreneurial skills by adopting mission-critical digital technologies and transformative business models, which will help them thrive in the digital economy. This truly reflects SAP’s purpose to help the world run better and improve people’s lives.”

Series of Challenges to Promote Learning and Growth

The “SAP Good Goods Business Challenge 2021″ will kick off on October 20, 2021 at an open recruitment session held by Social Enterprise Business Centre. The First Challenge invites participants to introduce their signature products or services in a written proposal or storyboard.

Shortlisted enterprises will be invited to a series of four workshops on topics ranging from e-commerce and e-marketing to product photography and videography. These workshops will be held later this year and run by subject experts from SAP and other organizations, with SAP volunteers and students from different institutes matched with each team for further support.

Applying the skills they learn in these workshops, the social enterprises will compete in the Second Challenge and develop a short promotional video, with the top five receiving targeted professional support to prepare for the Final Challenge: a live-streaming session for the social enterprises to promote and sell their products or services. HKCSS, SAP volunteers, university students and expert consultants will continue to provide advice and support through this stage of the competition.

Social enterprises will receive cash incentives as they move through the challenges, with the Final Challenge also providing access to a HK$100,000 prize pool, allocated on a pro-rata basis according to sales after the Final Challenge.

Now the Longest Subsea Cable System in the World

DUBAI, UAE, Sept. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The 2Africa consortium, comprised of China Mobile International, Facebook, MTN GlobalConnect, Orange, stc, Telecom Egypt, Vodafone and WIOCC, announced today the addition of a new segment – the 2Africa PEARLS branch – extending to the Arabian Gulf, India, and Pakistan. This extension will bring the total length of the 2Africa cable system to over 45,000 kilometers, making it the longest subsea cable system ever deployed.

2Africa Pearls - Map

Now connecting three continents, Africa, Europe and Asia terrestrially through Egypt, 2Africa creates unique connectivity by adding vital landing locations in Oman (Barka), UAE (Abu Dhabi and Kalba), Qatar (Doha), Bahrain (Manama), Kuwait (Kuwait), Iraq (Al-Faw), Pakistan (Karachi), India (Mumbai), and a fourth landing in Saudi Arabia (Al Khobar). The new 2Africa branch joins recently announced extensions to the Canary Islands, the Seychelles, Comoros Islands, Angola, and a new landing to south-east Nigeria.

As with other 2Africa cable landings, capacity will be available in PEARLS landings at carrier-neutral facilities or open-access cable landing stations on a fair and equitable basis, encouraging and supporting the development of a healthy internet ecosystem.

To further support a burgeoning global digital economy, the expanded system will serve an even wider range of communities that rely on the internet for services from education to healthcare, and businesses, providing economic and social benefits that come from increased connectivity. As announced in May 2020, 2Africa was planned to directly bring seamless international connectivity to 1.2 billion people. Today, with 2Africa PEARLS, 2Africa will be providing international connectivity to an additional 1.8 billion people–that’s 3 billion people, representing 36% of the global population.

Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) will deploy the new system utilizing new technologies such as SDM that allow the deployment of up to 16 fiber pairs, double that of older technologies and bringing greater and more cost-effective capacity.
