CLINTEL's Message to COP27 Leaders: Elevate Africa with Conventional Energy and Depoliticize Climate Policy says Friends of Science

CLINTEL – the global climate intelligence organization has posted an open letter to COP27 leaders on common sense climate and energy policies, says Friends of Science Society. A new Friends of Science report by Robert Lyman shows the Paris Agreement is unfairly rigged and greenhouse gas emissions growth will continue, despite draconian climate policies in the West.

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — “Get Ready for the COP27 Hurricane” writes Terence Corcoran in the Financial Post of Nov. 02, 2022, warning of an ‘overabundance of optimism’ as the UN Climate Conference of the Parties (COP) approaches in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, Nov. 06-18, 2022, says Friends of Science Society.

CLINTEL has posted an open letter to COP27 global leaders, calling for common sense climate and energy policies, and to elevate and empower African nations with conventional energy, not renewables, says Friends of Science Society.

His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jabar of the UAE, called for “maximum energy, minimum emissions” in a keynote address, Nov. 1, 2022. “If this year has taught us anything, it is that energy security is the foundation of all progress – economic social and climate progress,” Dr Al Jaber said in his keynote address at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).”

Leaders of major emitting countries like India and China will not be attending as reported by Climate Change News Nov. 02, 2022.

Canada’s delegation to COP27 will be led by Minister Steven Guilbeault, a long-time climate activist. However, Canada’s claims of being a climate leader were questioned by Bloomberg on Oct. 02, 2022, claiming that Canada has a ‘dirty secret’ – a growth in emissions. Prof. Samuel Furfari of Belgium countered this in an article in Atlantico, reposted in translation here, noting that “Energy is life” and that no one has a magic wand to reduce emissions and that the plans put in place by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could not work.

Friends of Science did a presentation on Canada’s NetZero 2030 plans titled: “Too Far. Too Fast.

The Unstoppable Growth of GHG Emissions: Greening the Planet; Conning the Public” is a new Friends of Science Society report by Robert Lyman which illustrates the flaws of the Paris Agreement and how the public have been misled to believe the agreement is legally binding. The report shows that no matter what draconian climate policies are enforced by the self-proclaimed ‘climate leaders’ in Canada or other Western nations, the emerging nations will drive GHG growth. This message is clear in Robert Lyman’s earlier report “When Giants Arise,” showing that North America and Europe make up only 15% of the world population – no one is following these ‘climate leaders’ says Friends of Science.

Friends of Science Society has expressed concern over the co-opting of the health care community into the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COP26 climate program, discussed in this video “#NetZero Healthcare. No Patients. No Emissions.” The video questions why the WHO and tax-funded doctors are advocating for the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty as reported in the National Observer, Sept. 15, 2022. Modern medicine and pharmaceuticals cannot exist without oil, natural gas and coal energy and the many important elements of the product stream, such as PPEs as explained in “Burning Questions,” a 2015 Friends of Science report.

Likewise, the energy crisis is crushing Europe, and will be worse next year and go on for years, as reported by TIME Magazine, Oct. 31, 2022. Friends of Science Society’s 2016 report “Dire Consequences” lays out how heat-or-eat poverty creates health problems, malnutrition and premature death, especially for pensioners.

Thus, Friends of Science Society finds it an anomaly that the anti-fossil fuel Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE) will be featured at the Canada Pavilion at COP27 on Nov. 10, 2022, when Canada is a major oil, gas and coal producer. Canada holds a key to mitigating the global energy crisis with its energy reserves. The tax funded doctors and health care industry could not exist without the revenues from the development and export of Canadian natural resources.

Robert Lyman summarized a Natural Resources Canada report showing the ‘Inconvenient Facts for Climate Activists‘ by the numbers.

As CLINTEL has repeatedly said, there is no climate emergency. A recent presentation by CLINTEL signatory, Prof. Wyss Yim shows that natural variability of climate is attributable to astronomical (solar) and geothermal activity under the ocean and that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is falsely focused only on carbon dioxide from human industrial emissions.

About
Friends of Science Society is an independent group of earth, atmospheric and solar scientists, engineers, and citizens that is celebrating its 20th year of offering climate science insights. After a thorough review of a broad spectrum of literature on climate change, Friends of Science Society has concluded that the sun is the main driver of climate change, not carbon dioxide (CO2).
