Catherine Downey helped guide the next generation of female leaders at Bizwomen’s 10th annual mentoring event.
TUCKER, Ga., March 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — As a proudly woman-founded and woman-led small business, CATMEDIA takes time each March to celebrate Women’s History Month. In honor of the occasion this year, CATMEDIA founder and CEO Catherine Downey recently participated in the annual Bizwomen Mentoring Monday event to encourage and support the next generation of female business leaders.
“I was honored to invest my time and experiences to help propel the promising careers of these amazing young women,” said Downey. “To me, there was no better way to celebrate this annual observance than to give back and hopefully help create a brighter future for the business community here in Atlanta.”
In its 10th year, Mentoring Monday was held simultaneously in more than 40 nationwide markets of American City Business Journal (the parent company of Bizwomen and the Atlanta Business Chronicle, among dozens of other publications). Collectively, more than 10,000 women participated in one-on-one speed coaching sessions with Downey and hundreds more of the most influential businesswomen in the country. The number of young businesswomen who have participated in this event over the past decade is now more than 80,000.
